HERE COMES TROUBLE! D-2 to Dream Kpop Fantasy Concert
One of the major things that differ 2012 from 2013 is the fact that the year of the snake will definitely shower us Pinoy Kpop fans with our beloved Kpop artists!
Welcoming the new year is the biggest Kpop Philippine concert to date, with bands like Girls' Generation, Infinite, EXO, U-Kiss, Tasty and Tahiti all performing on the same stage in one night! Dream Kpop Fantasy Concert!
Since the concert will take place two days from now, I'll reserve my fan girl feels and all for the post after that. Right now, I'm going to dish about the pre-concert event Dream Kpop Fantasy Concert Fiesta.
When Happee Sy announced that there'll be a pre-selling of merchandises, light sticks, games and ticket giveaways, I immediately assumed that it'll be in one of the shopping malls PULP often hold their events. It came as a surprised learning it'll be in Amoranto Stadium, a place I've never been before and definitely unfamiliar to. But then again, it's not like that would stop me from buying my Infinite light sticks and Yoona posters, so where to turn to but my beloved friend, Google map.
I found out that Amoranto Stadium is actually located in Roces Ave, a very familiar name that I believed I've seen while waiting for Pantranco jeepneys along Kamuning. I checked the metro maps and I am right, definitely the name on the jeep I rode once, one that had me panicking for a moment when it turned in a corner in Tomas Morato and not the usual route that would lead me in Panay.
Since I found out that I'm familiar with the streets already, going in Amoranto Stadium didn't become a problem. We arrived a little too late than 10, but that's because we left home a little too late than the actual time I told Ap. Unlike me who's just really after the light sticks and other merch, Ap really wants to win backstage and presscon passes to which she never stood a chance because we forgot our tickets! :))
DKFC Fiesta isn't the first Kpop event I've went on, but it's the first non-SJ/ELF related one. In an instant I already felt the unfamiliarity, of not being able to smile to everyone because most of them judges you for your fandom. It's divided, not unlike when I was with ELF when I can make friends and talk easily with anyone because we love the same boys and shares the same fave band. Right then I knew how biased I am, haha!
The fiesta was fun, especially when the crowd roared with every song that played up. I'm kind of disappointed I wasn't able to buy a Yoona fan, or lightstick, and contented myself with just a circular cardboard of her. I'm contemplating if i should buy an SNSD light stick in the day of the concert itself.
We went home after buying the stuff we needed, since we won't have a chance to win a pass anyway and we're not that motivated to risk our lives during the games :)) We got our chance to take pictures with the cardboard cutouts of GG, EXO and Infinite, the closest thing we could have for selca with oppars and unnies. We didn't even see Kyumond! haha! But he's always around SJ activities so maybe next time.
Two days until the concert! Excited and nervous for my first ever actual Kpop concert! Hope I have a great time!
