Super Show 5 Manila Bound 2013: The Prologue
While I'm still yet to finish my blog about DKFC (which is nine months a little too late Jesus Christ), I'll try to be productive and blog about the latest happenings with my fan girl life (and I've already uploaded the pictures in my laptop that will go with this blog posts so saves me the crap of all the transferring shit - and yes i'm lazy like that.)
First stop! [130825] The 2nd Super Junior Convention
The SJ Convention came earlier than it was expected this year (having it announced surprisingly in KFest 3 I think) but I came to the conclusion that it was all because of the upcoming Super Show 5 here in Manila (AND YES THERE'S GOING TO BE SS5 HERE DON'T FUCKING GET ME STARTED YET)
lol. Moving on.
I didn't attend last year's first SJCON because aside from the fact that it was held in SMex, I was also saving up for DKFC during that time. To be honest if not for the fact that this year's convention happened in Skydome, I don't think I would even bother to go (even if Happee Sy did say they'll be announcing the whole SS5 details in the event.)
The whole SS5 promotions have been chaotic to be honest. They keep on delaying the announcements and leaving us teasers and "coming soon's" with no specific date of when they will really be announcing the real deal. Most of the people in my PH tlist attended SJCON in the hopes that we will finally get first hand information (I even had the thought that ticketing might start on the event itself) but cover groups and SJ fanboys and fangirls performed and all but they didn't say anything that we don't know yet. Ap didn't even get the chance to take a picture with her /ultimate/ crush Kyumond haha!
Well the good thing about this I guess is I really had a good laugh with some of the Mr. and Ms. Simple participants and meet people from tlist! ^^
[130906] SS5 Manila Ticketing @ SM North EDSA
This was rather a very stressful day for me because beside the fact that I was all too edgy getting my hands on the tickets, Kpop Republic will also be happening the day after so all my nerves were really up to the extreme. It also didn't help that a day before the ticketing, stupid SM tickets announced that it was cancelled! Like fucking hell, I spent the entire week not sleeping properly and getting excited and nervous for this and a day before, with no explanations or apologies provided even, they announced that the event was cancelled. On top of it, they even informed us with this bullcrap of Priority and Public Selling, which later on we found out to be an advantage to those people who signed up for E-Plus cards last SJCON.
The majority of PhELF didn't take the news lightly of course. A lot of us are, like me, working people and we actually took effort (not really in my case, lol) to clear out our schedules especially for that day and then there they were casually saying the event was cancelled. We weren't even told about that "Priority Selling" until that eventful 5th of September, even the promoters (Happee Sy and friends from PULP) didn't mention anything about it and SM Tickets just blurted those out as if it was just nothing. How inconsiderate.
After hours of more stress and angry comments from fan girls in rage all over the country, Happee Sy finally posted that the ticketing will push through for the next day. Most of the fans (even the Philippines' official SJ fanclub SJ United PH) were still hesitant until finally, FINALLY, some time later, SM Tickets announced that the event will indeed happened (they didn't even take their words back they just said ticketing will be the next day lol wtf is wrong with these people.)
So having to read about that, I was happy again and my nerves were cracking up again.
So okay, the prices and seatplan was announced before hand (still a little too late if you ask me) and through this I began contemplating which could be the best tix.
This is my first Super Show (virginial moment GASP!) My first EFFING Super Show. My very first concert with the NUMBER ONE LOVES OF MY LIFE. I was stupid enough to miss SS3, mourned over the fact that there was no SS4 for PH last year, and made it sure to myself this time that I wouldn't miss SS5. I've been praying for this (omfg you have no idea) and now that finally, it was confirmed and really happening, of course I am willing to give my all.
I saved my 13th month pay for this. Spent a couple of nights starving myself just so I could secure a spot in their best (and probably the most expensive) ticket (and because I was saving not only for myself but for my sister's as well.) And so when the ticket prices were announced I was beyond happy and relieved that it met up with the amount I allotted specifically for this.
This is the seat plan (the concert will be in SM MoA Arena btw, October 24, 2013 - freaking in the middle of the week i know right)
According to some international friends and a few fancams, my baby of a bias, the super cute super adorable boy I love so much, Donghae frequents the left part of the stage while his husband and handsome gorgeous freaking hot jewel boy Lee Hyukjae frequents the right. This fact made the hardcore EunHae shipper I am troubled but since I am biased with the baby by a few miles (lol) I stick to the left portion of it.
Plan A was first and second rows of Lower Box A, Sections 217 and 218 (and probably 219 if no choice). OF COURSE WE'RE AFTER THE SKINSHIP. And of course we were very aware of the fact that friends of the producers or those privileged kids that had direct connections with the prods will probably the ones on this spot so I didn't really get my hopes high (but I was really REALLY rooting for this spot. Sighs.)
Plan B was the VIP3 section hohohoho. Well, even though it was a little too far for Harlem Shake, VIP3 was like the Platinum Section in DKFC, and back then it was the best spot (better than the more expensive SVIP.) It was right in front of the center stage, and as far as I know (and based from the fancams I've watched) boys, specifically mother fcking Lee Hyukjae, likes the center stage a lot. Well they danced a lot in there, and skinships a lot in there (Rockstar, Shake it Up, rings a bell?) and even though I don't mind watching their butts through the whole concert, I very much like to see their faces for my first one thank you very much.
(And besides I don't think I can handle Hyukjae's hip thrusts in Harlem Shake without having to throw something at him - probably myself - so yeah, VIP 3 sure was a good choice.)
PLAN C (lol of course there were 26 letters in the alphabet but I swear it'll be just up to this one) was VIP2 haha! Well this was only if we couldn't get LBA and VIP3 tickets lol (but I swore I really thought there will be no VIP3 tix left!!)
Now D-DAY!!!
I lined up in SM North as early as 7AM, texting my boss that I'll be absent for that day (lol I'm such a model employee.) There were about four people already (ELF) and I was fourth in line because the other one (Joanne, I learned her name later and found out we have common friends and she's a reader ^^) wasn't really lining up then. Well, a queue doesn't really matter because for the last time I've been lining up and waiting for SM North to open (both for SJ album launch because come on, I wouldn't line up this early if not for Oppa), the line dissipates immediately once you get inside and it's a freaking battle ground of who's going to reach the ticket booth first (and yes this effing includes running which I totally failed at that point because my freaking bag - with my clothes for the whole week and laptop - slowed me down. Damn.) Luckily, we (Nicole, Joanne and some friends we met in the line, Cai) were in the front most of the elevator leading to second floor so even though my bag failed me I wasn't way too far. I managed to get behind Nicole lol. I was 15th in line!
Now chaos happened when the ticketing started. The system kept on crashing!! And (not to my surprise tbh), the much wanted spot LBA tickets were selling like effing pancakes. Seriously! The staff assisting us at SM Tickets said it was because it's a nationwide sale, and some malls must have opened before us (and our freaking computer crashes every transaction.) Then there was the online sales and reservations, so yep, at around a quarter pass 10 in the morning, LBA tickets were almost sold out (good bye front seats sobs)
I called some of my friends that were lining up in other malls (I especially registered, for the first time in my life LOL, in UnliCall and Text just for this one) and Tinay, who was second in line in SM Sta. Mesa weren't able to purchase LBA tickets as well. Reizel, Ap's classmate, who was lining up in SM Marilao was third in line, and there were no available LBA tickets too. So yep, I am down to Plan B, VIP 3, which is the ticket I am up for only that suddenly, it was announced that VIP3 was selling in a rabid haste too! fucking hell.
Well with LBA not available anymore, LBA aspirants like me will of course go to the next best choice. And I hate how we all think alike because apparently, for them, VIP 3 was their plan B. I called my sister and we had this crazy chat while I was lining up that she should pray hard to get VIP 3 tickets. Thankfully, I got my hands on much awaited tickets (seriously this was more intense than I have written in here it's just that I should be working right now instead of blogging and I'm starting to get lazy HAHA) but finally, after almost five hours of queuing I GOT MY VIP 3 TICKETS!! (Ap effing squealed on the phone when I told her I got it already istg) So ticketing done, and now we will wait!!!
(Not really since we have to trade our temporary E-Plus cards to our SJ inspired E-Plus card as soon as October starts but well, whatever.)
KPOP REPUBLIC FANACCT UP NEXT!!!!
